Paradise City Festival was a delight! The first green aka Eco-friendly festival in Flanders. GO US! The atmosphere was super relaxed and that is what I love at festivals. There were food trucks serving insects , grasshoppers to be exact. I didn't mind at all because in Congo it's part of our cuisine and it's considered a delicacy. I only trust it when my mom makes it so it was a no-go for me. BUUUUT I did try The Dutch Weedburger . Not 'weed' as in "LEGALIZE IT". That other weed...seaweed.
One losing score: the food was so expensive. I understand it's an Eco-friendly
festival and the very first edition but I hope that the food will be wallet-friendly next year because I love to eat. #Foodies . Besides that I was surprised by how advanced the payment system was. We had to upload money from our bank card to our electronic bracelets and pay food & drinks by scanning the bracelets at the bar. Pretty cool idea. And it's step further to the millennium development goals.
The day before I went to Couleur Café music fest in Brussels (link) we had lots of drinks. I woke up at 12 am and Le Bro Yassin called me up to remind me that we had to hit the road. That wine & beer mix was a bad idea for me. However I managed to stand up and create a new festival outfit and UP to the next gig. I had no short shorts anymore...and #HeatWave was waiting for us outside that day. I found an old zara jeans, took a Gillette and started to rip and trash it. And there it was my new favorite H&M item ( haha ). Festival shoes from River Island (check ), Tank top from H&M ( check ), forbes & lewis backpack (check) , sunglasses and other essentials ( check ). And we were ready to go have some more fun. WHOOP WHOOP!
