And the winners of The International Woolmark Prize Europe regional finale are:
JONATHAN CHRISTOPHER and NANNA VAN BLAADEREN
Jonathan Christopher from the Netherlands won the International Woolmark Prize ( IWP) for Menswear (MODEL: Laurins Dursin )
Nanna Van Blaaderen from the Netherlands won the International Woolmark Prize ( IWP) for Womenswear ( MODEL: Nikki Van Waterschoot )
A memorable and important event in the fashion world was held in Antwerp, hosted by Fashion Museum Province of Antwerp (MOMU) and the Fashion Department of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp. You can call it a big deal. The judging panel of the International Woolmark Prize Europe , was a powerful list with huge names like: Walter Van Beirendonck, Simon Chilvers, Veerle Windels, James Sleaford and Fabrizio Servente who selected Jonathan Christopher as a winner for menswear category. Nanna van Blaaderen ( for the womenswear category ) was selected by An Vandevorst , Filip Arickx, Justin O'Shea, Christiane Arp, John de Greef and Colin McDowell.
Thumbs up to all nominees because every single design was breath-taking and the Dominique models were on point. I was so glad to see the men's collections and talk with the creators too. To see the models wearing the clothes is another thing but to hear the story behind the brand, the fabrics, their inspiration, etc is so inspiring. My favorite designers were Jonathan Christopher ( who I got to know during an IVY LEE PR event ), Juan Vidal (Spain) and Roberto Lopez ETXEBERRIA ( Spain ).
