As if the pandemic wasn't hard enough, we're being bombarded via social media with images of black people being killed by white police officers every single day. It honestly has negative effects on all of us. These videos showing police brutality, on a regular basis, are not just videos one can scroll through easily as if nothing was wrong. One can not just skip the video because "it's an Afro-American problem, it doesn't happen in Belgium". If that is what you're thinking, guess again. Because these black men deserved to live. Shall we say their names together to remind the world?

Dontre Hamilton, Eric Garner, John Crawford III, Michael Brown, Ezell Ford, Laquan McDonald, Akai Gurley, Tamir Rice, Antonio Martin, and Jerame Reid. Only to name a few cases that made the news. There are thousands of others whose cases were just buried in lies and paperwork.

In every big city in the world, people of all colors stood up, went outside, and marched to get their voices heard. "Enough is enough", we said!

Enough minimizing black people because of the color of their skin. Enough injured or dead young black men because the policemen are incapable of handling the situation without being overly aggressive and violently being out of pocket. Enough black lives wasted just because the color of their skin scares a cop.

I captured a few moments of the march in Brussels this Saturday.
