Chapter 2
•••

Before I begin, I have to let you know that I'm writing you with pain in my heart and almost dropping a tear.  There is something important I have to get off my chest.

A couple of months ago I went to my therapist to talk about a lot of things that were going on in my life. Some things I couldn't understand, some unresolved issues, etc. After a couple of sessions everything was so clear. He practically said : " You are wise enough, don't ever doubt yourself. And by the way It's time stand up for yourself". The best advice I ever got in all those years of existence. He was right though. I don't have the confidence and feeling of being invincible like I did 5 years ago. All that went away due to circumstances and realizations.

But when my therapist said that I was wise enough. He was referring to the fact that with a minimum support from home I did manage to hold my life together. And I thank God for that in every single prayer of mine.

say a little prayer for you

However I still can't get over the fact that my mother - who is my only parent since my father died when I was 7 - never really believed in me or what I was capable of doing. That, she often makes clear. It's sad and unfortunate to lack a support system coming from home especially when you are in your 20's , that's when you need your parents the most. Because not only are you changing as a person but real life is starting. Nevertheless you have got to keep your head up and stay motivated to achieve your goals. Why? Because you have to. Nobody will do that for you.

That's why I'm writing this new chapter because I want to inspire you and support you in what you are doing. Never stop believing in yourself and never downplay what you are capable of for nobody, not even your parents. My golden advice is to surround yourself with good & positive people. That's how you will have the strength to keep going hard and stay motivated.

If my good friends are reading thing, know that I love you & y'all the best.
