OFF BLOG DUTIES | My first workshop about fashion blogging in Amsterdam , nationale dag van de communicatie 29 april

Today I'm doing something different because different is good. If you read my previous posts you'll feel that I share more and more snippets of my personal life. I'd like to continue going that way...to begin with this first post about one my off blog duties. I was blessed enough to speak at the national communication day in Amsterdam city ( in dutch Nationale Dag van de Communicatie), with my friend/sister/blogster Trudy.The my first time talking in public about the 'tips & tricks of starting a blog'. A very first time for the both of us . My Instagram revealed a lot already, I had to travel back and forth to Rotterdam several times to meet friend & fellow blogster Trudy from www.theycallmetrue.com . We worked on the presentation for hours and hours at the DOUWE EGBERTS Cafe near the Rotterdam central station. After hours , days of work and preparation , WORKSHOP DAY arrived, April 29. We both hopped on the train to Amsterdam with so much nerves and rehearsed one more time. A moment of honesty guys: WE WERE EXTREMELY NERVOUS. This time it was different from a classic school presentation, this one was for real!

But guess what ? WE WENT AND WE CONCURRED. Surprisingly during our 1 hour presentation - possibly a bit longer - people were seriously paying attention and taking notes, I was so proud. After a quick Q&A-moment my colleague and I went to the bar and they were asking us questions regarding fashion blogging. We also had the chance to chat with Anna Nooshin from NSMBL.NL ( an online magazine from the Netherlands ). It was one memorable day.

I hope to do this more often. Because many people want to start a blog but don't know the concrete steps. There are many questions to be asked before you start your blog. And our 1 hour workshop answered many of these questions. Well, this is the end of my first ' OFF BLOG DUTIES '-episode and I hope to have more off blog opportunities to share with you.

After the workshop we went to ' COFFEE & COCONUTS ' in Amsterdam. I had to order wine to celebrate our successful workshop with our new blogger friend Kamelia from Cosmeticaholic, we met during the event.
